- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of experience in skilled construction or
maintenance
- Must possess a valid Arizona Commercial Class A Driver's
License (CDL) We Also Value

- Pavement markings installation or maintenance experience
- Knowledge of road maintenance and repair methods and
materials
- Skilled in establishing effective working relationships with
others
- Skilled in effective communication, both verbal and
written

- Lead work crews in performing construction and maintenance
activities
- Prioritize and assign tasks; assure that all safety rules and
regulations are observed on the job site
- Install and maintain roadway pavement markings. Prepare
sketches of existing pavement markings. Mark roadways for the
application of the appropriate roadway markings
- Supervise traffic control activities as needed; report safety
hazards; perform tasks in the interest of public safety and
property protection during emergencies
- Lead crew in the pre-trip and post-trip inspections,
maintenance, and operation of a variety of trucks and equipment
(including street sweeper, short line striper, attenuator truck or
trailer, long line striper, Grinder, and hand grinder) and hand
tools in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures
- Complete work orders to meet Division standards; prepare daily
activity and material and equipment usage reports
- Instruct crew in the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
Transport work crews to and from work sites. Conduct weekly
meetings with the crew, monitor and promote safety within the
crew
- Monitor and enforce adherence to division policies, procedures,
and standards
- Inspect roadways and structures
- Perform a variety of miscellaneous support tasks and other
duties as assignedWorking Conditions
- This position requires the employee to be in the office/field
or customer-facing for all hours worked
- Exerting 50 - 100 pounds occasionally, 10 - 25 pounds
frequently, or up to 10 - 20 pounds constantly
- Incumbent may be subjected to extreme temperatures,
wetness/humidity, respiratory hazards, and noise and
vibrationMachines, tools, equipment, software, and hardware
- Street sweeper, short line striper, attenuator truck or
trailer, long line striper, other roadway maintenance equipment,
and CartegraphProtective equipment required
- Hard hat, Gloves, safety glasses, safety vest, steel toe boots,
