• Certification Details
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) certification from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC).
  • Job Details
  • Coordinates comprehensive organization-wide infection surveillance, prevention and control program in accordance with current requirements of regulatory, government and accrediting/licensing agencies and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Duties include surveillance for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs); collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting of surveillance data; outbreak investigation; and program evaluation.
    • Job Requirements
    • B.S. Degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, Medical Technology, or related field and a related license or certification.
    • Masters in Nursing, Public Health, or related field preferred with a related license or certification preferred.
    • 3 years of experience in clinical/patient care services or relevant health care position.
    • 2 years minimum experience working in Infection Prevention.
      • Additional Details
      • COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not required.
      • Flu vaccination will be required October through April.
      • Flu exemption applications must be received and approved by Phoenix Children's prior to starting.
      • Anyone not vaccinated for either Flu or COVID-19 will be required to sign Declination & Masking Protocol agreements and must mask during the full respiratory virus season.
