Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager Data Privacy & Compliance designs,
develops, and manages the Company's data privacy and information
governance functions to ensure compliance with privacy laws,
regulations, and internal policies. The incumbent will assess and
manage legal and regulatory compliance risks to establish high
ethical standards of conduct for Republic Services. The Manager
Data Privacy & Compliance will support records retention processes
and oversees the federal, state and local political contributions
from the Company and its political action committee
(PAC).--PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages the Company's data privacy program and coordinates with
outside counsel to ensure all associated policies, notices, and
disclosures are compliant with jurisdictional requirements,
industry best practices, and accurately reflect current business
practices. Serves on various internal working groups to communicate
these forthcoming requirements and solicit feedback on updated or
new business practices.
- Develops, conducts, and regularly audits the Company's Data
Privacy Impact Assessments to ensure business practices and the
collection/use of personal information is (1) necessary to support
the business, (2) compliant with all applicable privacy laws, and
(3) documented or disclosed to employees or consumers, if required.

- Manages the Data Subject Access Request process, overseeing the
development of internal SOPs, consumer/employee facing notices,
request intake process, and coordination with stakeholders from
Information Technology. Strategically scales the DSAR program and
researches tools to help improve efficiencies with remediation
response times and minimize business disruption.
- Coordinates with and supports various stakeholders across the
organization to ensure disclosures, notices, or any applicable
policies are aligned with business practices. Provides feedback and
recommendations to stakeholders on forthcoming legal regulations
and current data privacy practices.
- Provides support to the Cybersecurity team and other internal
stakeholders to address data breaches or other various
cybersecurity issues to ensure compliance with applicable
regulations and internal data protection standards.
- Works with functional groups within the organization to develop
a Records Information Management (RIM) program for the Company,
including organizational policies, practices and comprehensive
procedures for records inventory and classification, retention
scheduling, records storage and conversion, disaster prevention,
and recovery planning and disposition.
- Oversees management of records retention, disposition,
collection, and preservation of archival records, in compliance
with Records Information Management program policy, legal and
regulatory requirements, and business needs. Manages all aspects of
the Records Information Management budget process. Conducts short-
and long-term forecasting by evaluating financial conditions to
meet future operational requirements.
- Assists with political action committee administration,
employee solicitations assistance, enrollment processing, political
action committee, and contribution compliance administration,
troubleshooting, coordination with outside compliance organization,
database management, and reporting for the political action
committee and corporate contributions.
- Assists with the leadership, development, and implementation of
Republic's on-going enterprise-wide employee political action
committee campaign in coordination with the Company's public
affairs and government affairs leadership. Manages compliance with
federal, state and local campaign contribution laws, political
action committee regulations and reporting guidelines as they apply
to the Company and its operations in consultation with the
Company's outside compliance firm and corporate leadership.
- Coaches and develops a team of professionals to assist in their
development and attainment of necessary skills to lift performance.
Monitors staff performance and drives performance improvement
initiatives and ensures that service levels meet or exceed agreed
upon standards.

- Familiarity with and understanding of privacy laws and
regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA, etc.).

cross-functional teams and stakeholders. --
- Strong project management skills.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 4-7 years of experience in data privacy, data governance,
and/or compliance.
